Here at Saneux, we always go the extra mile to present you not only with the top products and services but also with the best inspiration and inventive ideas! To do so we decided to introduce a brand new series of quarterly blogs dedicated to bathroom interior design and décor. What is even more exciting is that we have invited some of our own favourites and industry leading bloggers to share their expert advice and reveal their picks of stylish decorative pieces that have caught their eye and will make for a truly original bathroom.First one to take on this challenge is one of our absolute favourite, interior designer and blogger, Hannah Trickett. The London based blogger is the proud founder and editor of her own blog, Hannah in the House. Also featured in our “Top 5 Interior Blogs To Follow”, Hannah’s blog brings a fresh approach to minimal and Swedish design and the creativity that resides within simplistic style and living.

Bathrooms may serve a functional purpose but that’s no excuse not to forgo any decorative touches. By adding accessories to a bathroom it will instantly lift the room, making the space feel more inviting and interesting. Decorating a bathroom needn't mean removing tiles and rewiring the lighting, by adding a few small but well designed products you can transform the look and feel of a bathroom. I’d like to share my top 5 essential decorating products for the bathroom that brings in my favourite style, modern Scandinavian.

Vipp pedal bin. Classic and a beautiful bin!

Yep there are even designer bathroom bins! But trust me, Vipp are the creme de la creme of bins. Designed in 1939 these bins are timeless in design, looking incredibly modern and fit within the popular industrial decor trend.

Ferm Living Plant stand

Introducing greenery is great way to bring an instant life to the bathroom, plants soften the hard edges and add interest to the room. If you don’t have space for lots of plant pots this plant stand from Ferm living is a great solution, not taking up too much space but adding a big style impact.

Hay Hook

This bent ash wood hook by HAY is beautifully minimal, strong and my favourite. Made with recessed fixing brackets it’s a simple shape and looks almost sculptural on the wall.

Skagerak Teak bath mat

Adding a bit of luxury to the bathroom doesn’t have to mean gold taps (I cringe) but with a simple well made teak bath mat from Skagerat your bathroom feel like a spa.

Aesop

Botanical scents with Post poo drops

As funny as post poo drops are, I detest the smell of toilet cleaner, so these botanical scented drops are my saviour. By adding a few drops to the toilet after cleaning and other bathroom “activities” makes the room smell lovely. Aesop bottles and jars are beautiful accessories, they can make the room feel like a modern apothecary.

With many bathrooms tending to have a lot of cold hard surfaces it’s essential to break it up with details and decor like these. Simple additions of clever accessories can change the feel of the room and become a welcoming and well considered interior space.
