“The interior design and bathroom market will always have room for the different – yet we strive to take the timeless quality of ceramics and make them into everyday objects that perform a function.”

We met with Saneux’s Marketing Manager Alex Vyshnevskiy and found out all about next month’s 100% Design show including the preparations taking place, new exciting products and what to expect from Saneux at this year’s big interior design event.

Q: Saneux has previously exhibited at 100% Design exhibition last year. What is your strongest memory of that experience?

AV:

Last year’s 100% design exhibition was a great experience. We spoke to many internationally acclaimed interior designers and met with public that was genuinely interested in design. My strongest memory was watching the public gaze and interact with our products. The main example was the IN001 recessed mirror. Most people thought that it was a simple flat mirror stuck on a wall. Yet, nearly immediately one of our sales team would open the front fascia and have the interested parties wondering – “emm what just happened?”.

Q: This year’s exhibition theme will be “Design in Colour”. How is Saneux planning to address this concept?

AV:

Our focus always has been ceramics and furniture. Reflecting on “Design in Colour”, we are preparing to showcase 4 new colours of some of our most popular basins along with some very special versions of our NICHOLSON and MERCURY taps. The interior design and bathroom market will always have room for the different – yet we strive to take the timeless quality of ceramics and make them into everyday objects that perform a function.

Q: Colour is an essential part of design. What do you feel the role of colour is specifically in bathroom design and what effect does it have in other design aspects of a product or space?

AV:

The bathroom has always been a place where you concentrate on wellness and indulge in those very rare moments of silence and privacy. The colour of this room is a catalyst to achieving the above goals. The colour of the wall and floor of the room should be used as a the canvas to highlight the elements such as WCs and basins, the shower and/or bath.

Q: As 100% design 2015 exhibition is approaching what are Saneux’s expectations for this show?

AV:

We expecting a large amount of visitors. But more than anything else we are excited with meeting exiting individuals and getting them acquainted with our brand.

Q: Finally, what should visitors expect to see at Saneux’s booth that will not be able to find elsewhere?

AV: We will be going live with a brand new 56sqm stand and that’s just for starters. We plan to have a wide variety of products on display that will cater mainly for projects based around the stylistic and price baselines for the UK and European markets. Obviously a brand is built by the people behind the scenes. Hence, you will be able to meet face to face with our directors, project managers and sales executives.
