Bignold House, Norwich
Bignold House is a historic Grade II listed building that has been in the centre of Norwich since its inception in 1764. Once used as offices for Norwich Union, it is now a residential setting with 13 luxury apartments and 1 three storey town house.
Close by is an array of high street and independent shops, restaurants, and stunning historical landmarks including a castle and cathedrals, making Norwich a city that perfectly merges contemporary and classic architecture & design.
The brief for the bathrooms and ensuites within Bignold House was to introduce modern fittings to keep in mind the busy lifestyles of many homeowners, whilst ensuring it can work with the traditional aesthetics of the building. To give each apartment its own identity, each bathroom and ensuite features different furniture, finishes, and styles, making each one truly unique.
We supplied a variety of washbasins and vanity units for each apartment from our MATTEO, HYDE, INDIGO and AUSTEN collections, plus basins & semi-pedestals from our VITA range, and countertop basins from SIENNA. For the toilets, the MATTEO close coupled and back to wall WCs were selected thanks to their curved style that suits all the furniture collections used, and our FLUSHE 2.0 concealed cisterns and flush plates in chrome, brushed brass and brushed nickel paired perfectly with the back to wall WC. Our COS and TOOGA brassware ranges in chrome, brushed brass and brushed nickel were the perfect finishing touch, whilst our LOLA free standing bath marks as the bathroom centrepiece within the penthouse apartment.
